In Love With a Memory

 audrey dupuis

Lyrics:

Sometimes life doesn’t go the way you plan it

Sometimes life doesn’t play the cards it's handed

Sometimes circumstances change without reason

And sometimes I am terried for the changing of the seasons

‘Cause fall

Is your painting on the wall

It’s the Michigan staple to have leaves blown in wind

And in Michigan, I think of when

I loved you in the fall

Oh in fall

Sometimes life leaves you cheated and empty

Sometimes love isn’t quite what you thought it would be

And sometimes I can’t apologize for what I want to

Like accidentally falling in love with the memory of you

In fall

Oh in fall

Sometimes I don’t know where I’m going

And the weather likes to hide where the snow is

Sometimes fall doesn’t last too long

And sometimes I can’t remember the reason

But I know that you’re happy now I see it

Sometimes life doesn’t go the way I plan it

Sometimes love doesn’t like me I know

Sometimes love doesn’t like the cards it’s handed

But someday I have to accept the snow

Like

When I find your old photos on the wall

And I compare to how you’ve changed since the fall

And I know it’s not the same

And I know we both have changed

But how I wish this was resolved

In fall

Oh In fall
