Karen Liu is a Grade 10 student studying at Branksome Hall in Toronto, ON, who enjoys classical music, jazz, literature, and experimenting with composing. She has received awards in New York Global Music Competition, Crescendo International Music Competition, and more. Her inspiration for this piece stemmed from her exposure to Bossa Nova and an urge to explore music theory in relation to poetic writing.
